Epsom salt (Reply)
29 Jun 2017 01:36 am (UTC)
So does it neutralize the acid? I am curious as to the chemistry here. My soil has a pH of 8. I am working to get it down to 7 or 6.5. I was hoping for something to help them look a little healthier. I don't want to add anything that will increase alkalinity. I live on a hill made of potash from an old china manufacturer. So I am wondering what makes epsom salt improve tomatoes.
Sounds like you have good soil for blueberries. They like it acidic. Ligonberries like acid too.
