Deer eat mine all the time. It doesn't hurt them. I just plain need more sweet potatoes. They grow well once they're in the ground but getting them to that point is hard. Much easier to buy slips. We'll see what the shield/ stink bugs go after this year. I haven't had to buy praying mantis eggs before but it is an option. My neighbor released lady bugs last year. They went everywhere except in her garden. So thinking its not worth it.
