Not bored, just tired

It's been like a Chinese curse, just way too interesting around here. I'm in Oregon. Family emergency. Too many emergencies all the way around. My cousion in Lyons, CO made it out of the flood zone with two vehicles of stuff and all family members okay. Yeah! Unfortunately, sewage has backed up into his house from the flooding. I'm so glad to hear he's okay.
I'm working hard weaving, knitting, and adding more things to the etsy page. https://www.etsy.com/listing/163046274/skull-and-cross-bones-buttons?ref=listing-shop-header-1
I took my van for a spa day at the VW dealer. She enjoys having brakes and so do I. The dealer was throwing out old bananas from the fruit basket, so I was forced to make banana bread today. Life is rough. Temps will start to dip soon so I stopped in at the Goodwill store near the dealer to look for warmer clothes. I found two pairs of pants and two long sleeve shirts, and a pan to make my banana bread in. It will also work well in my solar oven when I get home. Although the spa cost a lot, the stop at GW was under $30. Score!
The washer here is unfit for hat making and I don't have any hat blocks along. I am shipping my items back to PA to have them finished properly. In return, I will be sent needle felting supplies for fall projects. I wrote to a lady about fleece today. We'll see what she has left. Otherwise, the Canby festival is coming up soon.
I found the shoe repair place in Tualatin. We'll see how they do. A note to any occupational therapists out there, people who are not from Oregon, do not and can not pronounce Tualatin. So please don't ask where we are. Siri can't pronounce it either.
There's an SCA event coming up. They have some basic embroidery classes. Maybe I can borrow garb. Hum, wonder what it feels like to just attend an event without lugging a whole booth?
