I was working on my spinning for a new shawl when I heard a racket outside. I thought maybe the squirrels were at it, but no. We have a bucket (kitty liter pail) at the bottom of a downspout to catch rainwater for the garden. Well if there wasn't 6 or more birds having a communal bath all at the same time. Mrs. Cardinal, the Mourning Dove, and a few sparrows, possibly the wrens. They were having a great time. I couldn't help but think of the Roman baths. Although I don't think Romans splash that much. Wish that I had a picture. Anyway, the Hint of Provence Shawl is off the loom and blocked. I'm hoping to get some better pictures tomorrow for the etsy store.

A Hint of Provence

So I'm slowly working my way through the fleece to reduce the quantity in the house. I had spun some earlier this year. And I got about 2.5 ounces done today. This is from a half a dozen different kinds of sheep. Some superwash merino, dorset, romney, and mixed breeds. Mostly Dorset and Superwash. Dorset spins lumpy. It adds a rustic texture which I like. I am not a machine. If I wanted to use something that looks like it was machine made, I'd have bought some. So I have some great color and texture going on. But I need a name for this yarn. What does it remind you of?

What would you name this yarn?
